Full Flush Poker has had great leaderboards in the past that awarded lucrative prize packages, but they have always been lacking a significant cash prize, even to the top performer. They are changing this paradigm though with their latest leaderboard announcement, but you better be ready for a long grind if you want to place on this leaderboard!
Many poker sites like running quicker and more compact promotions so that players don’t feel like they are shut out of something if they find out about the particular promotion 1-2 months into the whole thing, but Full Flush Poker is attempting to buck this trend a bit by offering a leaderboard that will run from August 15th through the end of the year. That’s a total of 4.5 months of leaderboard action, which might scare some players away, because of the long grind potential, but also should entice others who are worried about missing a bit of time during the grind window for real life things. There are advantages and disadvantages on both sides of this approach, but one thing there are no disadvantages about is the top prize, which is $10,000! You don’t need to be the top grinder to get it though, you just have to be one of the top 50 competitors.

Full Flush Poker is no stranger to this type of promotion as they did roughly the same thing during their World Series of Poker promotion during April and May. This time though players are not going to be competing for World Series of Poker prizes and there are a few more quirks built in with how prizes will be distributed. The biggest difference is going to be how the leaderboard itself functions. Players will be competing for 4.5 months to get one of the top 50 spots on the leaderboard. Upon securing one of those positions at the end of the year they will be entered into a tournament that will have the top 10 finishers move on to the final round for the major prizes. Places 11th-20th will still get prizes though as the top 20 will all get something for their grinding.
As mentioned the top prize is $10,000, but the other prizes are also pretty lucrative and can provide a lot of incentive for the players who are competing in the promotion, especially since this is going to be a primarily tournament focused leaderboard. The prizes for the top 20 finishers of the Rising Star Leaderboard Tournament are as follows:
1st Prize: $10,000
2nd Prize: 1 Full Flush Poker Seasons Pass for all the 2016 Full Flush Big Saturday and Sunday Tournaments
3rd Prize: 1 Full Flush Poker Seasons Pass for all the 2016 Full Flush Big Sunday Tournaments
4th Prize: 1 Full Flush Poker Seasons Pass for all the 2016 Full Flush Big Saturday Tournaments
5th - 10th Prize: 10 Entries to Full Flush Big Saturday Tournaments and 10 Entries to Full Flush Nightly Cooler
11th - 15th Prize: 10 Entries to Full Flush Big Saturday Tournaments and 5 Entries to Full Flush Nightly Cooler
16th - 20th Prize: 5 Entries to Full Flush Big Saturday Tournaments and 5 Entries to Full Flush Nightly Cooler
It is possible to earn Rising Stars (essentially points) through cash game play, but it will be pretty difficult to compete with those who are playing tournaments if you play only cash games. This leaderboard is set up as a reward system for the most dedicated tournament grinders. The following tables are how many Rising Stars you will get for finishing places in each tournament. You can also earn Rising Stars by eliminating anyone in the top 3 places of the leaderboard from any tournament.
Full Flush Poker is betting big time on this leaderboard chase as it last 4.5 months, but considering the success of the World Series of Poker leaderboard from earlier in the year, it’s likely a very safe bet. Players will have a great opportunity to compete for big prizes and for the first time on one of these leaderboards, cold hard cash.
