The Winning Poker Network has announced changes to the morning tournament schedule. We have full details for you within.
Winning Poker Network, who recently became the 5th largest poker network in the world, is again expanding it's tournament schedule to better cater to client demand. It was only a few months ago that they rather thoroughly revised their Monday through Friday tournament schedules, as detailed here.
This next update to the schedule will see an upward revision in tournament guarantees of over $30,000. These guarantee increases are focused on the lower end of the buy-in range, which makes them all the more potent for casual day time players. Euro players who, by virtue of being 5-8 hours ahead, will also appreciate the increase in available events and improved guarantees.
While the tournaments are mostly No Limit Holdem, as most tournaments are, there is a little something in here for everyone. The NLHE tournaments range from $1 buy-in rebuy and add-on events all the way up to $2,000 guaranteed 6max events. Game types include Knock out, freeze out, rebuy add-on, and turbo events.
For the Omaha players, there are some fun options as well. Starting around 2am there is a 6max PLO R/A event, followed at 2:45a by a pot limit hi/lo knock out tourney. Another PLO8 event kicks off at noon, and is followed 45 minutes later by a straight PLO tourney, both are R/A and should have some pretty fast and furious action.
There are two large tournament announced as well. The first is a 5k guaranteed hyper, 3 min blinds, $21 buy-in, starting at midnight EST. This should be a good addition for those of you up late in a regular freeze out tourney looking to take on some extra action. The second is for you early birds up at 6:30 am. It is an $8,000 guaranteed Hold'em tourney, $22 buy-in. Decently long 12 minute blinds should ensure good playability.
If you haven't created a Winning Poker Network account yet, we'd advise you to create a rakeback account, and reap a 27% rebate on these tournament fees. For those of you craving even more action, consider playing on multiple US poker sites to boost your available tournament options. We recommend Ignition Poker as a good complement to WPN's offerings.
Please note that all times listed are US Eastern Standard Time. All amounts are listed in US dollars. All tournament changes are scheduled to go into effect the first full week of January 2017, which begins on January 2nd.
