Carbon Poker reps announce today that the Sunday "Big Ticket" will continue this month as a $215 buy-in....
On the 2+2 forums today, Carbon and Aced representative, CarbonRyan, announced that the Sunday major, recently renamed the "Big Ticket," will continue on as a $215 buy-in tournament for the remainder of January 2013. This is the normal 100k Sunday event, and the largest guarantee tournament on the standard weekly online tournament schedule of the Merge Gaming Network. Professional Rakeback has gone ahead and copy/pasted the text below for your reading pleasure:
After reviewing the results for yesterday's $215 Big Ticket, and based on the overwhelming positive feedback from players, its been decided to keep the $215 buy in for the remaining events in January.
We will be reintroducing the same satellites we used for the Poker Maximus events, to make it easier for players to obtain $215 tickets, which should also help boost the prizepool higher than it was yesterday. These will visible in the lobby of the Sunday Big Ticket in the main poker client.
The Free Seats giveaway will be split into two events, one on the Saturday at 15:00, and one on the Sunday at 10:00, both offering 25 free seats each.
We will also be running a $109, but with a reduced GTD, more than likely starting at $10k. If it the $109 does well in conjunction with the $215, we will raise the GTD accordingly for the remaining weeks.
I understand that this won't be to everyone's liking, but it was decided that running them with the $215 buyin for the rest of January would be the best option.
