The Merge Gaming Network will be updating the poker client software tomorrow, January 22, 2013 at 1am EST (server time). The updates are mostly minor cosmetic lobby alterations. Though MTT players will be happy to see some of the improvements to the tournament lobbies. In theory, no down time will be required and one will simply update the client upon restarting. The update will address the following issues:
- Addressed minor layout issues in "Lobby Settings" and "What's New" windows
- Improved the readability of cash figures in the tournament details screen
- Implemented abbreviations in the "Game Type" and tournament "Start Time" columns to improve layout and readability
- Removed unnecessary tournament flags from the lobby
- Fixed an issue where the maintenance mode pop-up dialog would steal focus from all application windows
- Amended some German language translations
In addition to the aforementioned changes, there will be new game abbreviations within the client. They are:
NLHE -- No Limit Hold'em
PLHE -- Pot Limit Hold'em
FLHE -- Limit Hold'em
NLO -- No Limit Omaha High
PLO -- Pot Limit Omaha High
NLO8 -- No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better
PLO8 -- Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better
FLO8 -- Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better
FL Razz -- Limits Razz
FL Stud -- Limit 7-Stud
FL Stud H/L -- Limit 7-Stud H/L8
FL Badugi - Limit Badugi
FL 2-7 TD -- Limit 2-7 Lowball
PL 2-7 TD -- Pot Limit 2-7 Lowball
FL 5 Card -- Limit 5-Draw
