Winning Poker Network Introduces New Software!

The eagerly anticipated Winning Poker Network software update has finally arrived, and Professional Rakeback has you covered with the changes now in place!

The most obvious difference is the look and feel of the software. Though some of the software hasn't changed (cashier is basically the same; tourney, SNG, and ring game listing lobbies are mostly unchanged), the actual in-game setup is vastly different, as evidenced by the screen captures below.

The changes, per an ACR Rep and WPN mass email notification:

  • Sitout changes: Same as FullTilt, you will now be able to sit out in 1 table or all tables. Helps players that multi-table.
  • Complete re-design of the game client: Lobby, Table, Tournament Lobby.
  • Text and content in the poker client has improved for a better understanding.
  • Popping table should not steal focus.
  • Columns were re-organized allowing a better navigation of tournaments (Notice that the Tournament ID was moved to last column).
  • Changes in the tournament for a better understanding.
  • Pressed states (tabs) now have a clearer view.
  • Relocation of Promo/Casino/Sports tabs to provide a better display.
  • Addition of Ring Game filters.
  • New table, animations and display.

The initial reaction has been positive - though the most vocal change not addressed appears to be the lack of preferred seating. You can still only have one specific tournament lobby open at a time, and the lack of fully synchronized breaks (break starts at 5 minutes before the hour, regardless of all hands finished or not at tourney tables) remains a minor hindrance. But on the whole overall, it's at least a big step in the right direction for a network that is serious about making big waves in the marketplace.

In addition, WPN is taking a very active approach to player questions and concerns - so be sure to get in contact via their email support, live chat, or online reps to voice your opinion on the changes.
