Grand Poker Network is jumping into the tournament series world its with this first major series centered on the NCAA tournament bracket. This is a fantastic opportunity for US-based, and rest of world, players get take advantage of a great value tournament series with a relatively small buy-ins!
When you are a small network still trying to get a foothold in the market many times you need something special to piggyback off of to get the attention of players. Grand Poker Network, backed by the legendary 5Dimes group, is doing just that with the March Madness tournament series that will allow players to take full advantage of great value tournaments for little money. Even better for players is that Grand Poker Network is running a healthy amount of satellites to the tournaments, so you can get in for very little.
The series itself only consists of four tournaments, but there is a lot of value to be had for players. The reason for this is that the tournaments normally overlay on a nightly basis, or barely meet their exceptionally modest guarantees. This schedule has the highest buy-ins and guarantees the site has seen thus far, meaning that the ambitious schedule will likely be wrought with overlay on those guarantees, or very weak players to pad those numbers. The first tournament is on Tuesday at 22:00 and features a $5.50 buy-in. There is a $500 guarantee on this event, the second event is on Sunday March 22nd and has a $10 + $1 buy-in with a $1,000 guarantee. The last two tournaments are on March 29th and April 5th, both a Sunday. The former is going to be a $12 + $1.20 buy-in with a $1,500 guarantee and the latter, being the final, will have a $2,000 guarantee for a $15 + $1.50 buy-in. It’s important to note that all Grand Poker Network tournaments are reentry and most have an add-on as well.
Each day Grand Poker Network is running at least 3 satellites to each of these events and there is also Sit n’ Go satellites available to all players. The daily satellites normally need 10 players to run (enough to cover the guarantee.) Even with all of these satellites it is going to be hard for them to reach their goal of players needed and if they do you can be sure that it will be a soft field, as the site is attached to a very large sportsbook. These tournaments aren’t anything special to most players, but the value is pretty extraordinary and should be something that any player looks at, especially tournament players.
Many may not be familiar with the name Grand Poker Network, as it hasn’t been around for as long as some other sites and networks. Previously the network was shared between Equity Poker Network and Winning Poker Network. Players could easily move money between the skins on those different networks and have access to both player pools. 5Dimes, which is a trusted and reliable name in the sports betting and casino world, split with Equity Poker Network though and developed their own unique network for players. Players still have access to Winning Poker Network, but they also have access to Grand Poker Network with an exceptionally good rakeback offer, soft cash games, and tournaments that overlay more often than not. If you would like to give the network a try, you can read our full review and account creation tutorial.
When just looking at the pure numbers, this series might fly way under the radar to most, but as with many things in life there is more than meets the eye available to players. It would be a mistake for any serious low stakes tournament grinder, or even medium stakes player, to miss out on the free value available to them. Have you ever played on Grand Poker Network?
