CoinPoker's CoinMasters Promo Begins April 13: $250K in Prizes
Beginning April 13, CoinPoker is launching the CoinMasters promotion, which will see one participant walk away with what the poker site is calling a “$100,000 poker career.” In addition, there will be other prizes up for grabs, bringing the total to be handed out to over $250,000.
CoinMasters Overview
The centerpiece of the CoinMasters concept are the daily tournaments. From Monday through Saturday at 6 p.m. UTC (10 p.m. ET), there will be a $25 CoinMasters tournament and also a $100 tournament. On Sunday, there's a $150 tournament, also at 6 p.m. UTC (10 p.m. ET).
Whoever wins a CoinMasters tournament from Monday through Saturday will receive a silver coin. Each day of the week has its own particular coin corresponding to that day. The winner of any Sunday CoinMasters tourney will instead get a gold coin.
These coins aren't just virtual badges either; CoinPoker will actually ship coins to the winners' addresses. Each coin contains one troy ounce of silver, and the Sunday coin is also gold plated.
CoinMasters Final Table
There are several ways for an individual to advance to the CoinMasters Championship Final Table. Up to seven individuals can qualify, and they will compete in winner-takes-all format for a $100,000 poker career. This consists of:
- $50,000 in cash
- $30,000 CoinPoker sponsorship
- $10,000 Main Event seat
- $10,000 for collecting all seven coins
- Access to free coaching from Patrick Leonard's elite group
There's no set date for the Final Table because it depends on how fast users qualify via the mechanisms described below. CoinPoker has stated that the targeted timeframe for completion is 10 – 18 months.
The Collector
The primary way for a player to advance to the final is by becoming one of the first five individuals to collect all seven unique coins. However, anyone who is short a coin or two but has duplicates of other days' coins can trade in any three duplicates for a missing coin.
After the first player has collected all seven coins, a two-month countdown will start. During this time period, up to four additional players can qualify; however, should the countdown run out before this occurs, then no further individuals will be able to advance even if there are fewer than five contestants who have advanced.
There's an incentive to becoming among the first to qualify because anyone who qualifies can immediately select a coach and receive free poker training. Thus, the earlier qualifiers will be able to hone their games while others are still competing to secure their spots.
The Luckbox
Everyone who earns at least one coin in CoinMasters will be entered into a drawing. Winning more coins is better because each one will count as a drawing entry.
The winner of the drawing will advance to the Final Table, and that person will additionally receive a unique physical coin commemorating their Luckbox status along with a $10,000 cash prize.
The Creator
The final seat at the Championship Final Table is reserved for the winner of the Creator Contest. This is open to content creators posting to X or Instagram who clearly feature the CoinPoker client or branding. They must use the hashtag @Coinpoker_OFF on X or @coinpoker on Instagram.
The Creator Contest will be evaluated by a panel of judges who will consider quality, creativity, engagement metrics, and more to determine the best entrant. Whomever they select will proceed to the Championship Final Table and will also get a $10,000 cash prize.
One final prerequisite is that an individual must earn at least one silver or gold coin to be dubbed “The Creator” and advance to the Final.
Additional Prizes
Besides the prize pools of the individual tournaments and the rewards to be distributed to the Final Table victor, there are several additional prizes being awarded by the poker room.
Winners of events during weeks one and two will receive $900 worth of buyins for the following week's CoinMasters games. Presumably, this trend will continue into further weeks also.
At the end of the CoinMasters Championship Final Table, there will be three freerolls open to those who have won coins:
- $50,000 freeroll for those who hold at least one coin
- $30,000 freeroll for those who hold at least two coins
- $20,000 freeroll for those who hold at least three coins
