There are eight MTTs per day during Speed Week although one event is unnumbered and another one uses the same number for two separate tourneys. This gives us the grand total of 54 numbered Speed Week events (8 per day * 7 days – 2). All tournaments start between noon at 9 p.m. ET.

Buyins go from 25 to 3,000 μBTC (approximately $2.60 to $310) with guarantees ranging from 500 to 50,000 (around $50 to $5,230). Well over half of the events are No Limit Hold'em affairs, but there's a smattering of other variants offered too, like PLO, 9-Game Mix, Draw Lowball, and Short Deck Hold'em.

With only 56 tourneys total, it's possible to play every one should you wish to. However, for those who don't have time to commit to playing all events, we have gone ahead and identified some of the most intriguing ones to keep your eyes on:

#29; Thursday, May 22, 6 p.m. ET; 500 buyin PLO Turbo (4 RE); 10,000 GTD
The largest guarantee on the roster for fans of regular Pot Limit Omaha (no 5 Card nonsense or split pots here), this should prove worthwhile for any four-card poker enthusiast.

#38; Friday, May 23, 9 p.m. ET; 2,500 buyin NL Hold'em High Roller Turbo (3 RE); 30,000 GTD
High-stakes NLHE specialists surely won't want to miss this one although the possibility of buying in and re-entering three times could prove pricey at 10,000 chips (around $1,000). We expect a small field for this one, so it will really be a contest of wills, and knowledge of your opponents' playing styles could prove valuable.

#48; Sunday, May 25, 3 p.m. ET; 3,000 buyin 9-Game Mix Turbo (3 RE); 30,000 GTD

#49; Sunday, May 25, 4 p.m. ET; 500 buyin Speed Week Turbo Main Event (6 RE); 50,000 GTD
This is the Main Event of the whole series, and it offers a juicy 50,000 GTD prize pool (the largest of Speed Week) for a relatively modest 500 chip buyin.

#54; Sunday, May 25, 8 p.m. ET; 250 buyin NLH Turbo FINAL LAP (6 RE); 7,500 GTD
A pretty low-key way of closing out the series, this event is the last one on the schedule. The 250 chip buyin ought to be affordable for almost everyone, and thus, we expect it to be a fairly friendly and stress-free way to unwind after all the big-money contests have already concluded.

SwCPoker is adding 22,000 chips' worth (approximately $2,300) of tournament tickets to a series leaderboard. They will be distributed to the top 10 finishers as follows:

  3. 3,000 in tickets
  4. 2,000 in tickets
  5. 2,000 in tickets
  6. 1,500 in tickets
  7. 1,500 in tickets
  8. 1,000 in tickets
  9. 500 in tickets

Leaderboard points are earned for finishing in the top eight of any numbered series event. Turbos are worth more than hypers according to the following schedule:

  1. TURBO: 25 points, HYPER: 15 points
  2. TURBO: 18 points, HYPER: 12 points
  3. TURBO: 15 points, HYPER: 10 points
  4. TURBO: 12 points, HYPER: 8 points
  5. TURBO: 10 points, HYPER: 6 points
  6. TURBO: 8 points, HYPER: 5 points
  7. TURBO: 6 points, HYPER: 4 points
  8. TURBO: 4 points, HYPER: 3 points

In addition, there are various point bonuses available. There's 25 points per day awarded to the person who earns the most points that day. Furthermore, anyone who registers to an event before it starts and winds up winning it will get a 10 point bonus.
