Carbon Poker doesn’t want to get lost in the shuffle of all the different US networks and they are doing their best to ensure that doesn’t happen by rolling out some big March promotions that are going to be geared towards recreational players and serious players alike.
Carbon Poker, which is the flagship site for Merge Network, is hoping to recapture some lost players from Winning Poker Network and Bodog Gaming Network by introducing some big changes and promotions in March. These changes and promotions will cover cash games, tournaments and live tournament packages. The best thing about these promotions though is that they will hit a large cross section of players as both low and high stakes events are effected and improved.
Merge Network is getting involved in the rake races that Equity Poker and Winning Poker Network are also doing. Merge Network is taking their own spin on it though with their “Carbon Poker Grand Prix,” which will run from March 2nd through the 29th. The rake race is kind of how it sounds each rake race being even quicker than the one week the other two networks offer. Carbon Poker is going to be resetting the leaderboard every day and then the race is on to which player can play the most hands at a given stake in that 24 hour span. Carbon Poker is splitting the race into many different levels and both fixed limit and no limit hold’em hands will count. The awards will go to the top 3 places and those players will receive the money in their account within 24 hours.
The levels and prize breakdowns are laid out in this chart:
Merge Network has a big week planned from March 2nd to March 6th with the Nightly Nine making a return. The Nightly Nine is a series of tournaments with differing buy-ins that start at different times throughout the night. What makes them more unique than a normal nightly tournament schedule though is that for each day their guarantees will go up. Carbon Poker says that in total $500,000 will be guaranteed during these tournaments, but the exact breakdown of how much each tournament will go up daily is not immediately clear. We do have the first day of the tournament schedule though, and each day will have the same schedule, but just with a high guarantee!
Carbon Poker isn’t stopping there though, as they are looking to make a big splash on Saturdays now as well with a completely redesigned offering to tournament players. Carbon Poker announced that they once again trying to capture players from all stakes and interests by offering a little bit of everything on Saturdays. The most notable tournaments from the announcement are the 4 Early Bird tournaments starting at 12:00 ET. These include a $1k GTD $2.20, $5k GTD $11, $4k GTD $33 and $3.5k GTD $60 tournaments, and all of them will be deep stack offerings. There are also The Saturday Bigs which start at 14:00 and are a $5k $11 and a $7.5k GTD $33 tournament. These are going to be fixtures on the schedule past just this March. Log into the client to see the rest of the changes to the schedule as well!
Players love live tournaments and Carbon Poker is hoping to unite you with one of those loves by offering satellites into the $200,000 Guaranteed Main Event in St. Maarten, Caribbean starting on April 24th. If you get one of the packages you will get $1,650 entry fee into the tournament, $1,000 all-inclusive stay at the Sonesta Mabo Beach Resort and Casino and $850 for traveling expenses. Players can qualify for the Main Event Satellites on March 29th for as little as $1.10 or can buy directly into the event for $215 where 10 packages are guaranteed!
Merge Network is hoping to not get lost in the shuffle and flurry of all the major US-facing sites starting new promotions and enticing players to put their money on only one site. These promotions attempt to achieve that by catering to tournament, cash game and live tournament players alike and help everyone from grinders to recreational players.
