Super Millions Poker Open at PWL July 17 - Aug. 18: $8M+

For anyone who likes tournaments – specifically tournaments with massive guarantees – the PaiWangLuo Network’s $8 million+ guaranteed Super Millions Poker Open (SMPO) might be exactly what you are looking for. From July 17 through Aug. 18, 2021, there will be 150 individual events where you can try to earn your share of a massive guaranteed prize pool. About the Series

The Super Millions Poker Open consists of a whopping 150 events that take place every day over a four-week period. Keep in mind that the timing used for this tournament schedule is Eastern Standard.

Normal Sunday Majors Replaced

The SMPO will feature some of the tournaments you would otherwise see scheduled during a normal week; however, the guarantees will be increased. The usual Sunday Major, for example, will still feature as part of the series, but will be boosted by somewhat of a shakeup.

The SMPO Special $250,000 GTD, up from the usual $150,000 GTD but at the same $150 + $12 price, will be joined by an SMPO Sunday High Roller $100,000 GTD event, which has the usual $100,000 guarantee at the same $300 + $25 buyin but will feature a progressive knockout format. These will take place every Sunday during the Series, occurring on July 18 and 25, and Aug. 1, 8, and 15.

While the SMPO is running, the Sunday $250,000 GTD will occur at 4:21 p.m. as opposed to the normal 4:00 p.m. starting time of the $150,000 GTD. Similarly, the Sunday High Roller will be moved to 21 minutes later than usual: 6:21 p.m.

More About the Series Events

Other events within the Series will be present with buy-ins running between $5.50 and $1,055, allowing everyone to get a handle on the SMPO regardless of bankroll level. Most days from Tuesday through Thursday will feature four numbered SMPO events while Friday through Monday will mostly see five tournaments held each day, excluding the non-numbered replacements for the Sunday major tourneys.

Perhaps the most important of the tournaments are the Main Event and the Mini Main Event, both scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 15.

The Main Event, #135 on the series schedule, starts at 3:21 p.m. and has a buyin of $425 + $25. The Main Event guarantees a whopping $350,000, and it allows you to re-enter up to two times in case you fail on your initial bullet. The Mini Main Event, #134, begins an hour earlier at 2:21 p.m. and costs $100 + $9 to enter. It will award a guaranteed prize pool of $150,000.

There's also a series of progressive knockout MTTs every day at 8:21 p.m., but they are not official, numbered events of the SMPO. They actually begin prior to the main series, on July 12, and continue on for the remaining days of the SMPO

Satellites Available

If you are keen to participate in some of the bigger SMPO tournaments but balk at the high cost of entry, then you can attempt to win inexpensive seats in satellites. These qualifiers have already begun to appear in the poker lobby, and they allow you to earn entry into various SMPO events for but a fraction of the normal cost.

Some of these tournaments award tickets that can be used for any SMPO event of the designated buyin amount. Others are specific to particular tournaments. Tickets must be used for a valid tournament and cannot be exchanged for cash.
