Winning Poker Network Declares OSS IV Rematch!

Winning Poker Network Logo, True Poker, ACR Poker, Black Chip Poker, Ya Poker, Pokerhost  Winning Poker Network is attempting to make this Online Super Series (OSS) better than the last by pulling out all the stops to entice players to give them another try.  Free seats, bigger tournaments and more guaranteed money than ever before is the winning recipe (no pun intended), they are hoping to use.

Winning Poker Network Ups Ante for Future Series

Winning Poker Network is calling a rematch on their OSS IV.  As they put it “the last series wasn’t very super, so we are calling a rematch!”  Whether the last series lived up to the hype is debatable as it was a good series up until the last day, but far be it from us to try to convince them otherwise as players are getting a great opportunity to play for large prizes.  The series will run from Friday, February 13th through Sunday, February 22nd consisting of a total of 63 events with over $2,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools, including $1,000,000 for the Main Event!

Winning Millions Take 2

Winning Poker Network has taken its failure in the first Winning Millions like a true Champion and decided to retry the event.  Last time, DDoS attacks crippled the tournament that was on-pace to beat the guarantee.  They have learned from this mistake and made the needed upgrades and improvements to feel comfortable offering the event to players again.  It’s still going to be the same buy-in, $540, as the last time.  There are tons of sattellites running this time, perhaps more than last time so players of all means will have a chance to compete for the $200,000 first plaze prize money (paid in a lump sum via bank wire no less!).

An added bonus for players though is the 500 seats they are giving away to the first satellite qualifiers into the event.  The first 500 players who qualify for the Winning Millions via one of the satellites will receive a free entry into the $300,000 guaranteed Second Chance event later in the day.  That tournament sports a $215 buy-in and has a larger guarantee than any “Sunday Major” open to Americans.  To give players a great opportunity to take advantage of this great promotion awarding over $100,000 to players Winning Poker Network is offering over 600 satellites to the Winning Millions.

Online Super Series Rematch

While the marquee is lit up by the “Winning Millions,” the other great tournaments on the schedule shouldn’t be ignored.  Continuing on the tradition of Winning Poker Network being a player friendly site they are offering tournaments of all different types, speeds and buy-in levels.  They are trying their best, and dare we say succeeding, in offering something for everyone.  The smallest buy-in weighs in at just $0.27 and sports a $250 guarantee!

The schedule is full of 5-figure guarantees with each night (even during the week) having at least 1 tournament boasting at least $13,500 GTD, and many times much more than that.  The times of the tournaments are also slated in a way that will give something for everyone.  One of the most fun events on the schedule isn’t even a big buy-in as they are offering a $1.10 Rebuy/Add-on Pot Limit Omaha event with a $1,000 guarantee to increase the crazy play even more.

Series Leaderboard

Last, but certainly not least is that Winning Poker Network is going to be offer a leaderboard for the upcoming series.  This is a pretty unique addition to an American tournament series as most networks don’t even bother with them anymore.  The formula is also much easier to calculate than some of them that we have seen.  While we won’t bore you with the details, we assure you it is significantly more straightforward.   The prizes up for grabs will be as follows: 1st place will receive $500, 2nd nabs $300 and 3rd walks away with $200.  While it isn’t as profitable as some may like, it’s a nice addition that isn’t seen near as much in today’s landscape.

Conclusion

Winning Poker Network believes that it needed to make up to players for having the Main Event of their series cancelled, and they are doing it in style.  While some sites might have just sat on the sidelines and not done anything (such as Merge Network,) Winning Poker Network is offering free money, bigger tournaments and lots of incentives for players.  If you would like to take advantage of these great tournaments you can read our review of their flagship site America’s Cardroom, or the newest addition to the network PokerHost.  Other brands include Black Chip, True, and Ya Poker. What do you think of the tournaments?  Is this a good mea culpa from Winning Poker Network?

Still pissed off? Understandable. Try other real money online poker sites out and see if you like it better.
