Many were worried about the Poker Maximus III guarantees being too high, but the LHE events smashed them...
Professional Rakeback has a great many fixed limit players. Many of our FL players enjoy the more traditional form of hold'em, fixed limit! ProfRB has helped Merge to revamp their fixed limit rake schedule, as well as revamp the LHE lobby and restructure the limit hold'em games. ProfRB worked closely with the management at Carbon Poker to get LHE events into the Poker Maximus II series earlier this year, but alas, the event was pulled before release by Merge management.
However, not all was lost. Our success in helping keep fixed limit games strong on the Merge Gaming Network lead to Merge giving LHE another shot and adding two limit hold'em events to Poker Maximus III. Profesional Rakeback is proud to report that both events beat their guarantee. The first event, event number 8, a $109 buy-in event, nearly doubled it's guarantee! Event number 22, sporting a $55 buy-in, exceeded its guarantee by more than 30%!
The success of these two events should not only lead to more LHE MTTs (with higher guarantees) in the future, but to more love for fixed limit hold'em in general. There were many unknown players in the event, i.e. non-regs, and hopefully we've introduced some new fish to the fixed limit cash games!
