Professional Rakeback loves breaking stories to the web! The Winning Poker Network quietly raises peer to peer transfer limits yesterday, this time without a press release....
Professional Rakeback is perplexed once again! The Winning Poker Network cannot seem to make up its mind regarding Peer-to-Peer transfer limits! No less than 3 times in the last 60 days the WPN has drastically altered the limits on P2P transfers. Some time in October, the network slashed P2P transfer limits to the bone, only allowing transfers of $250 per day, $500 per week, and $1,000 per month! By October 30th however, all skins on the WPN had put out some version of the following press release touting a huge increase in their P2P transfer limits (which was still less than it was prior to the slashing previously noted):
Fast-growing online poker site ACR Poker is hitting poker players with great news this evening. The US-friendly online poker site is increasing its limits for Player to Player Transfers (P2P). The news comes shortly after several competitors in the market decided to restrict poker players with the ability to make P2P transfers between player accounts.
P2P transfers have been increased from $100 to $1,000 daily. The new weekly limit has been raised from $250 weekly to $2,000 and the previous monthly limit of $1,000 has been elevated to $5,000. "Here we go again with more improvements designed for poker players who make use of the Player to Player transfer feature," stated ACR Poker spokesman Michael Harris.
At first we thought this some marketing ploy, or response to the ending of P2P transfers on the Merge Gaming Network which had been announced, and ultimately took place on November 1st 2012, as well as the newly instituted P2P transfer limits at the Revolution Gaming Network. However, now Professional Rakeback isn't so sure what is going on!?
Just yesterday, December 3rd 2012 as reported by Professional Rakeback Black Chip Poker moved from the Merge Gaming Network to the Winning Poker Network. ProfRB, though we do not work with Black Chip Poker *we work with them now 2014 - Yapoker rakeback available also*, has many clients and friends who had accounts there. While speaking to them we became aware that their Peer-to-Peer limits were exceptionally high. After doing some research, it appears that at the same time as the BCP migration, P2P transfer limits were raised dramatically across all skins! The new P2P limits are as follows:
Transfer Sending Limits: $10,000.00/24h, $25,000.00/week, $50,000.00/month
Transfer Receiving Limits: $10,000.00/24h, $25,000.00/week, $50,000.00/month
Reps for both ACR and True have declined to comment when questioned as to the lack of a press release.
