Anyone wanting to get involved in a tournament series with $2.5 million guaranteed should take a look at the Autumn Championship Online Poker Series (COPS) at the Chico Poker Network, which includes BetOnline, SB Poker, and TigerGaming. If this appeals to you, then get yourself ready to begin starting Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025, which is when the series kicks off. From that date until Sunday, Oct. 12, 199 separate events will run. That’s right – there are 15 days of exciting tournament action to look forward to in this installment of COPS.
The Championship Online Poker Series is made up of 199 events that occur every day for two weeks. Each day, between 12 and 14 separate events will run. The events from Monday through Saturday within the first week of the series are all the same each day; that is, every tournament runs six times during the week. The same is true during the second week of the Autumn COPS. Only the three Sundays have individualized schedules that don't recur on other days.
The series features guarantees of more than $2.5 million in prize winnings, including a $400,000 guaranteed Main Event.
The events all come with buyins ranging from $22 and $530 and guarantees from between $2,000 and $200,000 outside of the Main Event. Therefore, the series caters to those with varying bankroll sizes though the smallest of micro-grinders might feel excluded. Yet even these individuals can participate via satellite tournaments.
In a change from the previous iteration, which was NLHE-only, this time around, COPS has added PLO/8 to the roster. In addition, there is some diversity in the formats of the NL Hold'em tourneys on offer.
Deepstack events, which start much deeper than 100bb, are a boon to skilled players who wish to play through all three streets rather than engaging in preflop shovefests. Progressive Knockouts (PKOs) allow you to pick up some extra dough by knocking your foes out of the tournament, and because the remaining bounties increase as more and more players are eliminated, toward the latter stages of play, you can really score a nice chunk of change by knocking someone out. Bomb Pots skip the preflop action, replacing it with a set of antes paid by each player and starting the betting with the flop already on the board.
There are no rebuy + addon events in the series. However, you are generally allowed to re-enter multiple times in a single MTT.
Regarding the Main Event and its $400,000 prize pool, this occurs on the ultimate day of the series – Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. EST. The buy-in for this event stands at $215. With 250bb starting stacks, you'll get a lot of play for your investment too.
The second-highest guaranteed amount is $200,000 in the COPS tournament on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 1:30 p.m. ET. The buyin here is $162, so it’s kind of like a trial run for the Main Event a week later.
If you're a high roller, then there's also the $530 buyin PKO tourney on Sept. 28 with a $100,000 guarantee at 5:30 p.m. Both the regular prize pool and the progressive bounties should provide ways to pick up some tasty prizes.
Fans of four card poker will undoubtedly wish to check out the PLO/8 event every day at 8:45 p.m. ET. It has a $55 buyin and an associated guarantee of $4,000 Mondays – Saturdays and $6,000 on Sundays. These tourneys will be in PKO format.
If you're looking for a quick way to close out the series, perhaps after you've been knocked out of the Main Event, then the $2,000 guaranteed COPS Closer at 2:00 a.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 13 might appeal to you. It costs only $22 to join, and it's a turbo bomb pot MTT, which should make for exciting post-flop all-ins.
Besides paying cash to join the COPS events that you wish to participate in, you can earn your seats through satellite tournaments for as little as $1. Additionally, from Aug. 31 through Oct. 11, the Chico Poker Network is holding daily qualifiers to COPS Passport Finals every Saturday. The winners of each COPS Passport Final get $1,000 in buyins to COPS events.
If you don’t possess a BetOnline Poker account, then now would be the time to navigate to the platform and open one for free. This is a necessity prior to you being able to compete in the Winter Championship Online Poker Series. If you choose to do this, then you will also be able to benefit from the welcome bonus of 100% up to $1,000 as a newcomer too. Click the button below to get started:
