TigerGaming is a long-lived online poker site, having been in operation continuously since 1999. It has always been a smaller arena traffic-wise and was heavily hit by the UIGEA in 2007, which forced it to shut its doors to new American players.
In recent years, however, its Chico Poker Network partners BetOnline and Sportsbetting.ag have made a strong push in the U.S. market. This has resulted in steady growth for the network as a whole and TigerGaming too even though it doesn’t itself accept gamblers from the United States.
While it’s still not among the top 10 largest poker rooms on the net, it is in the top 15, it does draw in a respectable amount of player volume, and there’s heavy crossover traffic from the sports and casino sides of its business, leading to some pretty soft poker tables overall. When we consider this fact in combination with the juicy 100% up to $1,000 sign up bonus and other regular promotions, we begin to see why Tiger Gaming Poker deserves to be on the radar of every poker connoisseur whether amateur or professional.
The initial deposit bonus at TigerGaming will be applied to your account after you make your first deposit of between $50 and $1,000. You do have to enter the TigerGaming poker bonus code NEWTG when making this deposit. The sum you deposited into your account will be instantly matched 100%, dollar for dollar, with bonus funds.
For the next 30 days, you’ll receive $5 of your bonus whenever you rake or pay $50 in tournament fees. This corresponds to a rate of return of 10%.

HUD: Did you want to use a HUD when playing? Unfortunately the terms and conditions of the network are restrictive and very few HUD programs are allowed. In fact, only one has seemingly passed the test. That program is Holdem Indicator, which boasts support for fast-fold Boost games.
Professional Rakeback offers an exclusive 10% discount on Holdem Indicator, and iHoldem Indicator for you Mac users, to our players. If you are interested in a review head over to our software page and if you simply wish to purchase it now, with a ten percent discount off the retail price of $99 USD, then all you need to do is click here for PC and here for Mac.
There's also a Poker Odds Calculator HUD provided directly by TigerGaming to its customers. However, this is a limited version of Holdem Indicator that will only work in the Tiger poker room. If you wish to utilize the full potential of this program on multiple sites, then it's probably best to purchase the real version.
When it’s time to fund your account, you’ll be glad to realize that the cashier options at TigerGaming are numerous. Remember that your first deposit has to fall within the range of $50 - $1,000 to qualify for the 100% match. Bearing that in mind, you can use any one of the following forms of payment:
Later on, when you’re looking to request a payout of your winnings, you’ll be able to use these same processors with the exception of credit cards and a few of the more obscure cryptos. As far as which of these options is best, we have a preference for Bitcoin. The deposit and withdrawal limits are high, fees are nonexistent, and transaction speeds are high with BTC. If you haven't yet begun in the world of crypto-currency, then we have prepared a thorough guide to using Bitcoin for online gaming, including poker.
Tiger Gaming Poker caters to casual and low-stakes poker fans more than it does to high-rollers and professionals. Therefore, it restricts cashouts to a limit of $3,000 per week although any deposits you made during this timeframe can be withdrawn on top of the $3K cap. However, $3,000 per week is more than most players will have to worry about regularly cashing out.
The most popular poker game in the world is No Limit Hold’em, so it only makes sense that there are more tables in this form of poker than any others. The blinds run from $0.05/$0.10 up through $5/$10 although games above $1/$2 are sparsely populated during non-peak hours. Luckily, however, as this network has both US and ROW player bases, there is both a European and US poker traffic peak where a plethora of game availability can be found. NLHE tables are offered in full-ring (9 players) and 6-max sizes.
Pot Limit Omaha is dealt from $0.05/$0.10 to $5/$10 in both hi-only and hi-low formats. There are usually a dozen or more games of Omaha running at any one time though multi-tablers may have to mix levels to get in the amount of play they seek. Limit Omaha hi-lo can also be found in the ring game section of the poker lobby, but games hardly ever run.
Regardless of whether you play NLHE, PLO, or some other format, you can only sit at eight or fewer ring game tables simultaneously. This is probably a measure to ensure that the action moves swiftly without having to wait for mass multi-tablers to run down their time banks before making their decisions. Also, we should note that there are no heads-up ring games on the Chico Poker Network.
The exciting fast-fold Boost poker format was implemented across the Chico Poker Network at the beginning of 2018. The Boost tables are virtually identical to regular cash games, but the way the action proceeds is different. Whenever you fold your hand, you move without delay to another table to receive a new set of hole cards. In this manner, downtime is kept to a minimum because you never have to sit around waiting for others to complete hands that you're not involved in.
Sit-and-gos run the gamut from $1.50 contests all the way up to $60. Perhaps surprisingly for a site of modest size, even the highest SNGs on offer sometimes run. The SNGs mostly contain two, six, eight, or nine players each although there are a few oddball and special games that seat four or seven players. Almost all action is for NLHE contests, but PLO Hi-Lo is offered too albeit only at the $1 and $7 levels.
There's a pretty broad range of formats available. You can try out heads-up turbos and hypers, Double or Nothings, regular nine-max competitions, progressive knockouts, and satellites that pay out tickets to bigger games.
A new type of sit & go, called Windfall, hit the CPN in mid-December 2017. It incorporates randomized elements to deliver a gameplay experience that has much in common with traditional poker but also resembles a lottery in certain respects. A Windfall game starts whenever three people sign up, and the prize pool varies between two times and 2,000 times the amount paid to enter.
A couple of spin-offs of the Windfall formula were introduced in March 2019, called Jackpot and Flip, further enhancing the poker selection at the site.
TigerGaming hosts lots of multi-table tournaments with low buyins of $5 or less, but at the other end of the scale, there are only a few events with sizable entrance costs. The regular Sunday Major is called the Main Event and guarantees a prize pool of at least $200,000 for a buyin of $109.
Something to be aware of is that many tourneys here are R&A events, so the actual price you’ll end up paying could be much greater than what’s stated in the lobby. Look for MTTs with “Freezeout” in their names if you seek to avoid this uncertainty. All MTTs at Tiger Gaming Poker used to be NL Hold’em only, but there are now about a dozen events each day in PLO and PLO/8 formats.
You can download the Tiger Gaming Poker client for both Windows machines as well as Macs. There's also a mobile app for iOS and Android users as well as a Flash version that works on pretty much every modern web browser.
Non-standard features of the TigerGaming poker download include the ability to adjust the volume of every different sound effect, configure custom hotkeys, and alter the speed of animations or disable them altogether. In other respects, TigerGaming’s poker suite is about par for the course with four-color decks, auto rebuy, user-configurable themes, and the other basic elements that you would expect from any poker application in 2022.
The new player bonus is just the first of many rewards that you’ll be able to enjoy as a poker player in good standing with TigerGaming. The organization rolls out the red carpet for both new and existing clients alike. Some of the most noteworthy of the ongoing specials are:
Every week, there's usually a ring game leaderboard although the details change pretty frequently. Generally, there are several leaderboards catering to diverse disciplines of poker, like NLHE, PLO, and Boost Poker awarding five figures in prizes. Grind the games hard, and you could find yourself the recipient of hundreds of dollars per week.
There's usually also a weekly contest for sit-n-go players. Sometimes a separate leaderboard for lottery-style Windfall games is offered too. The amount of cash up for grabs is typically less than is provided to cash game players, but it still generally runs into the thousands of dollars.
At TigerGaming, if you take quad deuces or better to showdown and lose in a No Limit Texas Hold'em hand, you’ll receive a huge payday. In order to hit the jackpot, both the winning and losing player must use both hole cards, the hand must go to showdown, and at least four players must have been dealt into the hand.
When the Bad Beat Jackpot is paid out, the “loser” of the hand gets 20% of the pot while the winner receives 10%. Another 10% is split up among the rest of the table, and 20% goes to people seated at other BBJ tables of the same blinds as the one that hit the jackpot. Then, 35% is dedicated to reseeding the jackpot while 5% is taken by the poker room as an administrative fee.
The BBJ used to only apply to specified tables of 100NL and above, but in March 2023, it was extended to all NL Texas Hold'em cash games. The way this was done involves having separate jackpots for each of the stakes spread. Boost pools participate in the BBJ for the normal ring games at the same blind level.
The jackpot is funded by an extra rake. The amount taken is smaller at low stakes and higher in bigger stakes. This additional drop ranges from $0.01 - $0.05 at NL10 all the way up to $0.50 - $2.50 at NL1000.
In April 2023, TigerGaming extended its Bad Beat Jackpot to PLO tables. Much as with the NLHE Jackpot, the one for PLO is divided up into different prize pools for each stake.
However, the hand strength required to activate the Bad Beat in Omaha is four of a kind sixes or stronger. Just as in Hold'em, the hand must have had at least four players dealt in to qualify, and the hand must go to showdown.
The distribution of prizes when the Bad Beat Jackpot is won is as follows:
The amounts and intervals at which the jackpot rake is taken are different for PLO. It ranges from $0.04 to $0.20 at PLO10 up to between $0.40 and $2 in PLO1000.
There used to be a comp points program at TigerGaming whereby you would earn points as you played poker and then could exchange them for tournament buyins. However, this program was abandoned several years ago. Despite promises to the contrary, it was not replaced by any kind of new rewards program.
Thus, there's no VIP/points/comps system in place at Tiger. This is a minor drawback as compared to competitors, most of which have some form of ongoing rewards for regular customers.
There’s no legitimate flat-rate TigerGaming rakeback being offered today, but the welcome bonus effectively functions as a type of rakeback. While you have the first deposit bonus active, you’ll be getting back approximately 10% of the rake you pay.
The downside, of course, is that this is a time-limited benefit that will stop helping your profitability after you’re done with the bonus. On the other side of the coin, TigerGaming offers occasional poker reload bonuses, which will allow you to secure more cashback on your future play.
Unfortunately, individuals located in certain parts of the world are unable to register an account with TigerGaming. The United States of America is sadly one of these prohibited countries. The others are:
If you reside in the U.S.A., then take a look at our reviews of Sportsbetting.ag and BetOnline for online poker sites on the Chico Poker Network that are willing to accept you as a player.
The reason you’re reading this review is because you’re a poker player, but we should tell you about the other products that TigerGaming offers in case you wish to broaden your horizons.
There’s a comprehensive sportsbook wherein you can wager on athletic competitions, a racebook covering horse races at dozens of tracks, a casino with hundreds of titles, and another casino with games dealt by live dealers. Good news – you can receive additional bonuses for most of these types of gambling, boosting the amount of free cash that you can liberate from the house’s stock of it.
Yet, if casino gaming is your bag, then there might be a couple of ways for you to do even better. You see, TigerGaming has partner sites called Wild Casino and Super Slots that are probably even more desirable online destinations for gamblers who love the slots, craps, video poker, roulette, and other types of casino delights.
The reason for this is that the Wild and SuperSlots brands are committed to casino gaming and casino gaming alone without the distractions of sports betting or poker. Among the advantages of these two gambling halls are jumbo-sized welcome bonuses of up to $9,000 (Wild) and $6,000 (Superslots) and a couple of weekly reloads, which are absent from the TigerGaming portfolio. Find out more about these enticing options by heading over to the fact-filled Wild Casino review or honest SuperSlots.ag review.
