It's time for the second annual High Stakes Cash Game World Championship (CGWC) at CoinPoker. It runs from Nov. 10 through Dec. 7th and consists of rake-free NL10k cash games.
The High Stakes Cash Game World Championship follows on the heels of the PLO Cash Game World Championship, which ended Nov. 2. Unlike that four-card contest, this one focuses entirely on two-card No Limit Texas Hold'em.

Anyone who plays at least 20,000 hands at the CGWC tables during the four weeks of the promotion will be eligible for one of the top five prizes. Rather than just using raw win or loss figures, positioning on the leaderboard will be measured in EV dollars won, which adjusts the results of all-in pots to award each player their fair equity share at the time the money went in.
All CGWC tables are six-max. Some of the tables have no antes and just $50/$100 blinds. Others feature an ante of 0.17bb per players, which works out to a single bb for a full table of six players. Heads-up hands do not count toward the leaderboard.
Certain tables are designated “Show” tables, which require that every winning hand be shown. Players must play at least one Show table in addition to as many other CGWC games as they wish.

There are five prizes announced for the CGWC:
In order to win one of these prizes, an individual must put in volume of at least 20,000 hands at CGWC tables. As mentioned earlier, heads-up hands do not count toward this total.
CoinPoker has stated that there will be a further prize related to GTO (game theory optimal) play. We're not sure what the nature of this prize will be nor the parameters involved in awarding it. However, given that the prize pool declared for the CGWC is $100,000 and the top five prizes add up to only $90,000, we can conclude that this GTO prize will be worth $10,000.

As an additional attraction, there will be a VIP game every Sunday during the Championship. There will be five invited players along with what is described as an “action” player who presumably will be chosen by Coin Poker. The five invites will go to the players who:
The VIP game will table place every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. UTC. There will be double the usual ante – 0.33 ante per player. There will also be a 5bb bounty on every player for the 7-2 game. Hands played in the VIP game will not count toward the overall CGWC leaderboard.

If you're intrigued by the prospects of high-stakes play but lack the means to participate yourself, then you can still follow the proceedings because they'll be broadcast on several online platforms.
Full streams along with daily highlights will be featured on CoinPoker's YouTube channel. Live broadcasts will meanwhile occur on Twitch.tv. On X, you'll be able to view certain highlights of the action and short video clips. Meanwhile, in-depth discussions of hands and strategy will take place over Telegram.

If you wish to join in the high-stakes action or simply want to enjoy the many lower-stakes games also spread, you'll need to have a valid Coin Poker account. If you have not yet signed up, then you can do so today and get a 150% bonus up to $2,000. Click the button below to get started:
