SB Poker to Run $125K GTD Tournament on March 1

Various poker tournaments have already begun this year, but another one is right around the corner. With $125K in guaranteed prizes, this upcoming event from SB Poker is sure to hold plenty of appeal to gamers. It’s a No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament and it’s set to occur on Sunday, Mar. 1 at 1:00pm ET. So, if you’re ready to get your winning game on, then SB Poker is the place to be at the beginning of March. So, let’s have a look at what the necessities are with this tournament.

Buy-In or Earn Your Seat

Two routes can be taken to enter into the SB Poker tournament, with the first being by taking advantage of the $109 buy-in. Alternatively, you can participate in one of the many satellites taking place throughout the week, which will allow you to gain access to the tournament for less. In fact, you’re able to earn your seat from as little as $5.50, which is quite the bargain in comparison to the buy-in amount.

Qualifiers will be running from now right up until the starting date of March 1. The satellites will pay out hundreds of seats to the $125K GTD event, so it stands to reason that you may want to try and garner a spot through this method. Some of the qualifiers are handing out five seats per round, so there’s very little to stop you from entering them. These satellites will operate at varying times of day and will have alternative buy-in prices. Those prices range from $5.50 and increase up to a maximum of $22.

It’s not uncommon for SB Poker to provide players with intriguing tournaments to enter. In fact, there’s usually a Sunday Main Event that runs every week, and this also has a standard buy-in of $109. This occurs every Sunday of the week, but the primary difference with it is that there’s only a guarantee of $60,000 for players to try and win a cut of. Therefore, the upcoming $125 GTD tournament stands out as offering more in winnings for the same buy-in price. It’s something new and alternative for the Chico Poker Network to offer across its platforms.

Mega Satellite Event

To accompany the standard satellite qualifiers taking place, there will also be a special Mega Satellite qualifier taking place on Sunday, Mar.1 at 11:00am ET. This is two hours prior to the official tournament starting and there are 45 seats available to win by participating in it. To enter into this event, you’ll need to make use of your SB Poker VIP Points. A total of 38,500 of these are necessary, but with 45 seats to the $125K GTD tournament on offer, would you really want to miss out on this?

Once the Mega Satellite Event has ended and the 45 winning seats have been awarded, the $125K GTD tournament will take place. It’s important to know that multiple seats won through the satellite events can also be utilized as re-entries while the tournament is in late registration, too.

Terms and Conditions Relating to the Tournament

As well as being able to re-enter up to and including late registration, there is a small number of other terms and conditions to adhere to with regard to this tournament. First of all, any unused tickets after the late registration period will go on to be converted into Tournament Money (TM) instead. Those conversions will take place on Monday, Mar. 2.

The SB Poker brand also reserves any rights to modify, alter, discontinue or terminate a promotion at any time. Finally, all standard SB Poker terms and conditions apply to this $125K GTD tournament as well, including those which pertain specifically to promotions.

Playing at SB Poker and Other Sites Hosting This Tournament

We highly recommend the SB Poker platform as one of the best to serve US states. It’s an offshore poker room, providing superb MAC software and a great mobile client for those of you who are mobile poker players. In our rankings, we’ve given it the number two position. It’s not the only online poker room t be hosting this $125K GTD tournament, though.

Should you be a member of the BetOnline poker room, then you’ll also be able to access it through this platform. BetOnline also caters to US players, supporting cryptocurrency deposits in the process. Not only that, but if you choose to register to play at this poker room, you’ll receive a 100% welcome bonus up to $1,000, too. All of the same qualifiers and terms and conditions apply through BetOnline for the tournament.

Tiger Gaming is also hosting the same tournament, although this is a platform for non-US players to participate through. However, that doesn’t stop anyone outside of the United States from joining up and becoming a part of the tournament, and this is one poker site to have been in operation continuously since 1999. As with BetOnline, Tiger Gaming has the same welcome bonus available, providing 100% up to $1,000 to newcomers.
