Carbon OPS Tournament Series May 2014

The third running of the Carbon Online Poker Series (OPS) begins play today with over $390,000 in guaranteed tournaments, and ProfRB.com has you covered with everything you need to know about this Merge Network premiere event.

First off, the Carbon OPS will be the first tournament series to take place on the Merge Gaming Network since reintegration across Carbon Poker and Jazette player pools was initiated in early April. This means that the vast majority of online poker rooms on the network will be featuring the OPS, and player traffic is expected to be high as a result.

The Carbon OPS will be offering up over $2,000,000 in guaranteed prize pools in 80 events from now through Sunday, May 18th. Ten OPS events will take place each Sunday, while four OPS events will run Monday through Friday each day. Saturdays will feature five OPS events over the next couple of weeks. The series concludes with "Main Event Sunday" on May 18th, where over $560,000 in prize pools will be awarded, highlighted by a $250,000 guaranteed $215 buy-in Main Event.

19 of the 80 OPS events will feature non-NLHE tournaments, including pot-limit Omaha, fixed limit holdem, HORSE, Badugi, Razz, fixed limit Stud, and high/low games. Heads up events, as well as rebuy/add-on offerings also dot the event schedule.

Players can buy in directly to any OPS event and/or can use their VIP Points or tournament coupons to enter. Tons of satellites will run alongside the OPS as well - we highlight those in the sections below.
