ACR Poker Sending 10 to Compete in Battle of Malta: 10th Anniversary Edition
The Battle of Malta is approaching its 10th anniversary edition, which will take place from Oct. 28 to Nov. 5. ACRPoker is giving away Battle of Malta live packages to 10 fortunate satellite winners. In addition, for the first time ever, there will be a Battle of Malta Online series preceding the live festivities. This online series will run from July 13 – 27 and boasts $5 million in guaranteed prizes.
About the Battle of Malta Online
Running over the course of two weeks, the Battle of Malta Online is modestly sized for an ACR series with only around 70 events and total guarantees of $5 million. Buyins range from $5.50 to $630.
The largest tourney on the roster is event #67 at 12:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 27. It costs $630 to join and features a $600,000 guarantee. Event #68 takes place at the same time and also has a respectable $400,000 guaranteed prize pool albeit for a much more inexpensive $109 buyin.
Another notable tournament is #1 on the schedule, which is actually a multi-day event with $66 flights beginning Thursday, July 3 and continuing through to Sunday, July 27. This is a Mystery Bounty tourney with $500,000 guaranteed and bounties ranging from $150 to $50,000. You can join as many flights as you wish, and your remaining chips from all of them will combine to form your Day 2 starting stack. Day 2 commences Sunday, July 27 at 2:05 p.m. ET. It is on Day 2 that the Mystery Bounties will be paid.
Battle of Malta Online Satellites
There are two satellite tournaments where you can attempt to win your Battle of Malta prize package. You can gain entry to either one or both via The Beast cash game leaderboard. They're running on Sunday, July 13 and Sunday, July 20 at 5:05 p.m. ET., and each qualifier pays out five seats guaranteed.
Each package comes with:
- A €600 entry to the Main Event
- A €2,200 entry to the ACR High Roller event
- €700 to play other events
- €1,500 for airfare ($US 1,700)
- €1,000 spending cash ($US $1,130)
- Hotel accommodations for 10 nights (Oct. 27 – Nov. 6)
- Airport transportation
All satellite winners must play in the October – November Battle of Malta because prizes are non-transferrable. Players must have a passport good for at least six months after arrival date or else forfeit the package.
About the 2025 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition
This fall's live Battle of Malta consists of around 30 events with buyins between €150 and €2,200. It will be hosted by Casino Malta in St. Julian's, Malta. It has a poker room with 10 tables along with numerous slots and a selection of casino table games, like Blackjack and Roulette.
Main Event
The Main Event is a €530 + €70 affair with $1.5 million guaranteed. There are nine starting flights commencing Wednesday, Oct. 29 and proceeding through Sunday Nov. 2, which is when Day 2's play will occur. Days 3 and 4 will take place on Nov. 3 and 4 respectively, and then the final table plays out on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
Curiously, all Main Event starting flights that take place during the daytime (five of them) cost full price and advance 15% of the starting field onward to Day 2. The flights that begin in the evening (four of them) are half priced at €565 + €15, but only 7.5% of the field advances to the next day.
When the chips are bagged at the end of each flight's play, the top three chip stacks in each full-priced flight and the single chip leader in each half-priced flight will win €1,600 packages to the 2026 Battle of Malta Spring Edition.
Other Events
The ACR High Roller event, which package winners will receive a ticket for, costs €2,000 + €200 to enter and commences Monday, Nov. 3 at 8:00 p.m. The survivors of the first day will reconvene on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at 2:00 p.m.
Among the remaining events, almost all of them are priced at under €700, so the ACR package winners will have the opportunity to mix it up and craft their own schedules according to their personal preferences.
About St. Julian's, Malta
Malta is a small country in the Mediterranean consisting of three inhabited islands with a population of just over half a million. It's about 50 miles south of Sicily and 200 miles north of Libya. The capital is Valletta.
