Everygame and Juicy Stakes to Close Poker Rooms Nov. 30

Horizon Poker Network

The two partner sites on the Horizon Poker Network, Everygame and Juicy Stakes, have announced that they will be closing their poker rooms. Players can continue to play until Nov. 30, but on that date, the cardrooms will shut down, and no further poker games will be spread at either site.

Everygame and Juicy Stakes have announced that they will no longer be offering poker as of Nov. 30, 2025

Everygame's Announcement

Everygame Logo

On the morning of Nov. 19, Everygame sent the following email to its users:

We have some important news to share.

After many great years at the tables, poker play at Everygame will be discontinued on November 30th, 2025.

Your Everygame account remains fully active — only the poker section will be closed.

Please rest assured that your balances are completely safe, and you can withdraw funds or continue using them in our Sportsbook and Casino as usual.

We know this is sad news for our poker community, and we want to thank you for being part of it. The passion, the competition, and the friendships built over the years have made Everygame Poker truly special.

While one chapter comes to a close, there are plenty of ways to keep the excitement going. Whether it’s placing a smart bet in the Sportsbook or spinning the reels in the Casino, we’ll keep offering the same reliable service and entertainment you know and trust.

Thank you for playing with us and for being part of the Everygame family.

We hope to see you at the tables again — in a different way!

Your Everygame Team

As the email states, the casino and sportsbook at Everygame remain open, so there's no requirement to cash out any funds and no timeframes by which withdrawal requests must be placed. Any poker funds will simply be returned to the main account wallet when the poker room closes.

The line, “We hope to see you at the tables again — in a different way!” hints at the possibility of Everygame reintroducing poker at some time in the future although we don't have any concrete information about any such plans and can only speculate as to which online poker network(s) could be involved.

History of Everygame Poker

Big Book

Now that Everygame is closing its poker room, it's a good time to review the history of this upstanding operator. Everygame's ancestor, Intertops, actually ran a telephone-based bookmaking operation all the way back in 1983. Then in 1996, Intertops made history by becoming the first bookie to accept a wager via the internet.

A casino was added in 1998 followed by a poker room in 2003 on the partypoker network.

Intertops started out as part of the partypoker networkIntertops Poker Website December 2003
Intertops Was a Member of the Partypoker Network

In 2005, partypoker decided to consolidate all network traffic under its own name and either absorbed or kicked off all skins. Intertops at this point stopped providing poker to its customers and instead had them sign up for partypoker under Intertops' affiliate link.

The second incarnation of the Intertops poker site was launched in 2008 on the Microgaming Network. However, this partnership was short-lived as Microgaming elected to sever its ties with the U.S. market.

Intertops was once part of the Microgaming NetworkIntertops Poker Website November 2008

Intertops then moved over to the U.S.-friendly Cake Poker Network in May 2010. Ironically, having swapped to the Cake Network to preserve their ability to accept U.S. players, Intertops closed its doors to Americans shortly after Black Friday in April 2011. The only exception was that American players could secure invitations to play at Intertops through the good offices of a number of favored affiliates (of which Professional Rakeback was one).

This policy ended in February 2015 when Intertops threw open its doors to Americans again.

Meanwhile, however, the Cake Network, which had been rebranded to the Revolution Poker Network, was suffering. It had partnered with unreliable firms, including Lock Poker, which went belly-up owing players millions. Payout timeframes across almost the whole network, except for Intertops, lengthened into months.

Eventually, Intertops acquired the remnants of the Cake Poker Network, renaming it the Horizon Poker Network and bailing out the players on several skins. By this time, the network had shrunk to second-tier status in the U.S. internet poker industry, and there it remained until the present day. Although Intertops changed its name to Everygame in December 2021, this didn't affect its products in any noticeable way.

History of Juicy Stakes Poker

Books

Juicy Stakes opened its doors as a U.S.-friendly skin on the Cake Poker Network in 2009. It was one of many sites on the network at the time and did little to distinguish itself from its peers.

Juicy Stakes began life as a skin on the Cake Poker NetworkJuicy Stakes Website April 2010
Before Intertops Took Juicy Stakes Over

In September 2012, Cake Poker, along with several other skins like ColtPoker, transferred their U.S. customers over to Juicy Stakes. This improved the brand's player counts and prominence. However, the Cake Network's cashier problems spilled over on to Juicy Stakes with customers reporting payout delays of up to a year.

In October 2013, Intertops stepped into the fray, acquiring Juicy Stakes and making its customers whole. From then until now, Juicy Stakes has basically been a clone of Intertops Poker (later Everygame Poker) with only minor differences between them.

What This Means for U.S. Poker Players

Page With Question Mark

Everygame and Juicy Stakes have long been niche poker rooms with cash game player counts only sometimes surpassing 50. Therefore, the effect of these closures on the player community will likely be minimal. Scarcely any players made either of the two sites their main online poker destination; that distinction is reserved for larger competitors, like Ignition Poker and ACR Poker.

Still, Everygame and Juicy Stakes served as very attractive secondary or tertiary sites for grinders. Their promotional offers were very robust with 36% rakeback, frequent reload bonuses, a weekly rake race, Gold Chip rewards, and many other permanent and time-sensitive deals. They will be sorely missed by many in the poker community.
