Therefore, players possessing all levels of bank balances can participate.

Not only is there a broad range of price points for the COPS series but also great diversity in the types of poker on offer. Most of the games are in the familiar NL Hold'em format, but there are a significant number of PL Omaha and PL Omaha Hi-Lo contests too.

Deepstack events, that start much deeper than 100bb, are a boon to skilled players who wish to play through all three streets rather than engaging in preflop shovefests. Progressive Knockouts (PKOs) allow you to pick up some extra dough by knocking your foes out of the tournament, and because the remaining bounties increase as more and more players are eliminated, toward the latter stages of play, you can really pick up a nice chunk of change by knocking someone out. Both Deepstacks and PKOs are prominent in this year's COPS schedule.

There are a few rebuy + addon events in the series, but most events don't permit these extras. However, even in the non-R&A tourneys, you are generally allowed to re-enter up to three or ten entries per player.
