Intertops Announces Changes To Segregation From Revolution Network (Updated)

UPDATE -- 8/11, 1:55pm EST: According to the Lock poker client, the two major Sunday GTD's are still listed as $75k and $25k, respectively. Additionally, some of Revolution's usual Sunday schedule is still listed in the Intertops poker client. We will work to bring you further updates during the day.

ORIGINAL: A representative from Intertops Poker yesterday announced new segregation from the beleaguered Revolution Network - and even took a veiled shot at a fellow network skin who has brought the once-promising future of the network in serious jeopardy.

The changes on Intertops:

  • Cash Games: All cash games at $2/$4 and above are segregated from the rest of the network.
  • Sit n Go's: All Sit n Go's at a $20 buy-in and above are segregated from the rest of the network. This also includes double up SnGs.
  • MTT's: From this weekend on, Intertops has opted out of all guaranteed tournaments higher than $1000.

The news comes after weeks of confusion regarding Revolution's recent ending of the unpopular Fair Play Technology and their subsequent unannounced decision to segregate most of Lock Poker (who has the highest volume of players on the network) from other Revolution skins.

Via Intertops rep on 2+2 Forums:

We want to keep our reputation and continue providing our customers with the service and support that they deserve. Furthermore, we want to be able to continue to guarantee our players their funds and remain one of the most trusted and safe places to play. In order to achieve the above we have been forced, due to circumstances beyond our control, to make some changes to our segregation.

As a result of Intertops opting out of most of the Revolution MTT schedule, a Lock Poker representative revealed that Revolution was further lowering their two major Sunday tournament guarantees. The former $75k Pro Bounty Elite tournament will now have a $60,000 guarantee - while the former $25k Pro Bounty Elite tournament will see its guaranteed amount reduced to $20,000. Both of these tournaments once featured GTD's of $100,000 and $50,000, respectively, as early as seven weeks ago. Both of these Sunday MTT changes will take effect immediately.

Via Lock rep:

The network took this step despite our protests after another network partner asked to have their players excluded from these events. We fought both these changes but were unable to sway the network's mind.

Intertops rep:

We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause. We hope we can clear up a few of the issues over the next coming weeks and get back to where we know we can be.

But the Intertops rep didn't leave it there.

One thing is for sure – we have finished paying for the mistakes of others.

While the cloud hovering over the Revolution Network continues to fog its outlook moving forward, we here at ProfRB.com continue to support Intertops and feel it is still a viable and trusted option. Unlike other skins on the network who struggle mightily with extremely long cashout waiting periods and dwindling player-to-player transfer values, Intertops has remained above the fray. Our opinion is that they are the only viable skin remaining on Revolution and if you are interested in signing up, consider doing so through Professional Rakeback.

ProfRB is also willing to help displaced MTT players by moving them to Merge skins Carbon Poker, Aced Poker, and/or PokerHost - as well as to Bovada - both of which boast the best MTT schedules in the US market. In some cases, we may even be able to facilliate a direct bankroll transfer from Intertops to sites such as PokerHost or Winning Poker Network skins America's Cardroom, True Poker, and/or Black Chip Poker.

In any event, we would be honored to be your affiliate and/or advocate at any of our fine and trusted poker room partners! If you have any questions, feel free to use our Contact page and we will respond as soon as we can.
