The Weekly USA MTT Value | Overlay Report (NEW!)

Online tournament players looking for an edge to give them the greatest value are bound to find our new weekly MTT Value | Overlay Report full of useful information. Utilizing our own Overlay and Tournament Results reports, we break down and highlight only the tournaments that have overlaid from Friday to Thursday of the previous week across all of the reliable US-facing poker rooms and networks.

This week, the Winning Poker Network had more overlays occur than any other US-facing network - but the Merge Network actually had the most significant overlays as you will see below. Though we generally track tournaments with guarantees of $5,000 or higher on our MTT Overlay Reports, we've recently added a few more MTT's on WPN in an effort to better reflect their overall schedule. Hence why you may see a few sub-$5k GTD's or higher in the graphics below.

Winning Poker Network:
11 overlays worth $5,445 from Friday, Jan 24th through Thursday, Jan 30th

The most prevalent overlays that occur on WPN's tournament schedule are found in the $12,500 GTD Monday through Friday MTT that runs at 8pm EST. The tournament has historically had difficulty hitting its 500 player minimum needed to reach its guarantee, giving players added value on a nearly daily basis. With an entry fee totaling $27.50, it's a solid value for most players looking to make a decent score. Both the $2,500 and $4,000 GTD's that also run Monday through Friday give lower stakes players a good opportunity to cash in on light player fields. And though WPN's overall MTT schedule is still in a growth stage compared to rivals Bovada and Merge, it remains a profitable venture while allowing players the opportunity for added value.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Winning Poker Network Overlays and Tournament Results page, WPN offers a weekly $50,000 GTD on Sunday's (bumped to $100,000 once a month) and a daily $5,000 GTD, which runs at 6pm EST Monday through Friday, and at 2pm EST on Saturday and Sunday.

Merge Gaming Network:
9 overlays worth $7,695 from Friday, Jan 24th through Thursday, Jan 30th

Tournaments on the Merge Network offer players quite a roller coaster of options - particularly when it comes to MTT's that have a tendency to overlay. The Sunday Big Ticket $100,000 GTD, for instance, typically averages around a $3,000 to $4,000 overlay but was propped up the past week by Merge's Double Sunday promotion. For players not looking to drop $215 on one tournament, however, there are plenty of other opportunities to take advantage of. The $10,000 GTD that runs at 6pm EST every day offers up overlays throughout the week. The daily $7,000 GTD tournaments at 6pm EST has also featured an overlay here and there; and at $11 to enter, gives players of all bankrolls a decent shot at added value. It's a bit of a hit-or-miss prospect at times (Saturday generally has shown to be a steady day for overlays), but overall, Merge currently has plenty of options for those seeking the benefits of MTT's with overlay potential.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Merge Network Overlays and Tournament Results page, Merge offers several stout Sunday offerings with wide ranging buy-ins. Also newly added are three $5,000 GTD tournaments that run at 10pm EST, with buy-ins ranging from $11 up to $109.

Revolution Network:
1 overlay worth $375 from Friday, Jan 24th through Thursday, Jan 30th

The MTT schedule on the Revolution Network (we recommend Intertops and Juicy Stakes for US players looking for safe Revolution poker rooms) leaves a bit to be desired. With only a smattering of tournaments nearing $1,000 GTD or better, you are hard pressed to find overlays. However, the Sunday $15,000 GTD offering has shown to be a destination for added value in recent weeks. With player fields in the 115-140 range and tendencies to overlay (usually between $500 to $1,500), it's a solid stop on your Sunday grind. Monday through Saturday, however, the appeal for grinders are the lower player fields in relation to the lower guarantees. There's still money to be made, but there's no comparing the breadth of the current Revolution tournament schedule to rivals on WPN, Bovada, or Merge.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Revolution Network Overlays and Tournament Results page, bigger guarantees are harder to find. However, several deep-stacked turbo MTT's run daily with guarantees of $700, $850, and $1,000. Rebuy tournaments with $1,000 guaranteed also run, usually at least once daily.

Bovada Poker (part of Bodog Network):
Zero overlays from Friday, Jan 24th through Thursday, Jan 30th

It's hard to say zero and Bovada in the same sentence when you're talking about the clear #1 option for US tournament players. But in relation to overlays, you're going to be hard pressed to find one on Bovada. The US-facing operation of the Bodog Network offers up the deepest MTT schedule of all US-facing online poker rooms and still manages to keep overlays virtually non-existent. To wit, only two overlays have occured in MTT's on Bovada with a guarantee of $5,000 or higher in all of January. And those two (a whopping $700 in overlays, mind you) both occured on the Martin Luther King holiday in the United States. Bovada recently increased several guaranteed amounts across their weekly schedule, and they still manage to sport player fields far exceeding their guarantees. If you're looking for a multitude of tournaments to choose from and enjoy besting bigger player fields for more dough, Bovada is pretty tough to beat right now.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Bovada Overlays and Tournament Results page, Bovada offers up all kinds of options for every type of tournament player. While not quite at the level of pre-Black Friday offerings for US players, Ignition does offer a $100,000 Sunday MTT that frequently reaches over $150,000 in prize money and is far and away the largest regularly scheduled multi-table tournament available to players from the USA. Pick your poison here, MTT grinders - there's something for everyone.
