ProfRB.com breaks down and highlights US-facing online poker tournaments that feature overlays from the previous week. Online tournament players looking for an edge to give them the greatest value are bound to find this new weekly MTT Value | Overlay Report full of useful information.

The report below factors all US-facing online poker room | network tournaments featuring guarantees of $5,000 or higher. This is generally the range we track on our MTT Overlay Reports, though we've added a few more MTT's on the Winning Poker Network in an effort to better reflect their overall schedule. In addition, we also track several MTT's below the $5,000 threshold on the Equity Poker Network and the Revolution Network since only a few tournaments on their current schedules (the $15,000 GTD Sunday major on Revolution and the $5,000/$10,000 GTD Sunday offerings on EPN) eclipse this mark.

In this week's report, the Easter holiday caused a few more overlays than normal across US-facing online poker rooms and networks. Carbon Poker, however, bucked this trend and sported zero overlays across their MTT schedule for the second consectutive week. The Winning Poker Network stays on top of the report with a similar results as last week, while Bovada saw reduced overlays limited almost totally to the Easter weekend. The Equity Poker Network and Revolution basically stood pat with slightly increased overlays over the previous week.

Winning Poker Network: 18 overlays worth $12,510 from Friday, Apr 18th through Thursday, Apr 24th

DOWN: Zero overlays and $3,205 from last report

Minor schedule tweaks continue on WPN's daily MTT schedule, and the immediate results are about what you'd expect for a tournament schedule in some limbo. Overlays are becoming almost a daily expectation on three regular MTT's, of which overlaid in all but three offerings this past week to the tune of over $11,000 collectively. The most notable of these MTT's continues to be the $12,500 guaranteed Monday through Friday event, which was recently moved to an earlier 6pm EST start time and saw its buy-in increased to $28+$2 in an effort to prop up player fields. So far, though, this particular MTT remains overlay heavy - only once has this event not overlaid since the buy-in was increased. However, news came this week that the $12.5k GTD will finally be added to the Sunday schedule, with the expectation that at least the minimum amount of players needed to reach the guaranteed amount (447 to be precise) will take part. ProfRB.com will keep you informed this weekend as to the progress of this event.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Winning Poker Network Overlays and Tournament Results page, WPN offers a weekly $50,000 GTD on Sundays (bumped to $100,000 once a month) and a daily $5,000 GTD, which now runs at 8pm EST Monday through Friday, and at 2pm EST on Saturday and Sunday.

Revolution Network: 3 overlays worth $4,025 from Friday, Apr 18th through Thursday, Apr 24th

UP: Zero overlays and $1,740 from last report

The MTT schedule on the Revolution Network (we recommend Intertops and Juicy Stakes for US players looking for safe, secure Revolution poker rooms) continues to leave a bit to be desired. With only a small amount of tournaments nearing $1,000 GTD or better (though one more was added in April - the $27.50 $1k GTD at 2:30pm EST), you are hard pressed to find overlays of substantive value. However, the Sunday $15,000 GTD offering has historically shown to be a destination for added value. With player fields generally in the 115-140 range and a tendency to overlay in streaks (the field dipped to 95 players this past Easter Sunday), it's still a recommended stop on your Sunday grind. Monday through Saturday, however, the appeal for grinders would be the lower player fields in relation to the lower guarantees. There's still money to be made, obviously, which should satisfy the pallets of any type of tournament player.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Revolution Network Overlays and Tournament Results page, several deep-stacked turbo MTT's run daily with guarantees of $500, $850, and $1,000. Rebuy tournaments with $1,000 guaranteed also run, usually at least once daily.

Bovada Poker (part of Bodog Network): 9 overlays worth $3,315 from Friday, Apr 18th through Thursday, Apr 24th

DOWN: 7 overlays and $2,105 from last report

Easter came and went with the expected momentary dip in player traffic, which caused eight overlays that may have not otherwise occurred. If not for the past weekend, however, player totals were up resulting in fewer overlays (only 1 in the tournaments we track) over the same period last week. Several tournaments on their overall daily schedule have seen hit and miss overlays over the past few weeks, however, and ProfRB.com expects that to continue as we move forward into the typically slower summer season. But there is a reason why they are still the clear #1 option for US players - and with the continually sporadic overlays occurring, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to play online tournament poker.

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Bovada Overlays and Tournament Results page, Bovada offers up all kinds of options for every type of tournament player. While not quite at the level of pre-Black Friday offerings for US players, Bovada does offer a $100,000 Sunday MTT that frequently reaches over $150,000 in prize money and is far and away the largest regularly scheduled multi-table tournament available to players from the USA in terms of player field. Pick your poison here, MTT grinders - there's something for everyone.

Equity Poker Network: 12 overlays worth $1,758 from Friday, Apr 18th through Thursday, Apr 24th

UP: 1 overlay and $151 from last report

Three weeks into ProfRB.com's recording of Equity Poker Network tournaments, it's clear that the opportunities for overlays are abundant on their MTT schedule. Pokerhost is now fully integrated into the network pool, which has brought a slight boost to overall traffic for the fledgling network. But since the MTT schedule is still on the smaller size in terms of tournament guarantees, it remains light with potential for huge scores. Despite this, though, added value seekers should find plenty of lower-buy-in options and with a relatively soft player field, the more skilled player should have no problem making solid money. The tournaments in the graphic above all feature re-entry and add-on options, further favoring the player who enjoys a more intimate setting. And as their schedule continues to shake out (we believe additional tournaments should be added in the future), we feel it's a great time to be in on the ground floor.

Merge Gaming Network: 0 overlays worth $0 from Friday, Apr 18th through Thursday, Apr 24th

Further solidifying their dramatic turnaround, the Merge Network saw zero overlays occur on all tournaments with a guarantee of $5,000 and higher for the second straight week. What makes it particularly interesting is they accomplished this through the Easter weekend, when most US-facing rooms saw reductions in player traffic and increased amounts of overlays. One may feel that with the continued excess in player fields, tournament guarantees will be on the rise in the coming weeks. ProfRB.com feels that this will be happening - however, a slower rollout seems to be the way forward and Merge seems to agree with this strategy. Several tournaments are obviously "under guaranteed", so to speak, including the $20k GTD Nightly High Roller event which has averaged $28,000, $31,000, and $35,000 in actual prize pools over the past three weeks.

This is all due to Merge's recent decision (first reported by ProfRB.com) to fully reintegrate all player pools across Carbon and Jazette, which had been partitioned as we reported in our in-depth article (link below). Merge as a collective has historically had a relatively high number of players across its partnered rooms, and with them now all underneath the same operational umbrella, in a manner of speaking, they've quickly surpassed the Winning Poker Network in overall cash game traffic and have become the unquestioned #2 option for US players (h/t to GameIntel.com for the info).

Other MTT's of note: As highlighted in our Merge Network Overlays and Tournament Results page, Merge offers several Sunday offerings for players looking for potential added value. The $12.5k GTD for $33 and $10k GTD for $11 at 4pm EST, along with the $15k GTD $109 at 7pm EST, give players of wide ranging ability ample opportunity for a solid score.
